  1. I work for Vangent, and Ms. Willey has not reported the truth. First, she is the widow of former St. Sen. Ed Willey who committed suicide after allegations arose of wrong doing in the administration of his law firm’s escrow account and being over $125,000 in past due IRS. The Vangent call center is a very clean facility. You cannot gain access to the facility unless you are admitted in the security area. Not all supervisors worked on the CARS project, so a supervisor’s statement that they could not assist you could mean that was not their delegated responsibility. Also, if Ms. Willey signed a confidentiality agreement, she is in breach of that agreement, and should be prosecuted criminally and/or civilly. She did not reveal her true identity, which causes me to call suspect any of her other statements. How a person dresses for an interview is not the same as the way the person dresses for work. The government contracted with Vangent at a price to deliver the work. If employees were not working, it is a loss to Vangent, not to the government. Ms. Willey has no access to Vangent’s contractual documents, therefore, has no basis to make any statements, other than hearsay, and assumptions. And we all know about people who “assume” anything.

    • I TOO,WAS HIRED AT THE SAME TIME AS MS.WILLEY TO HELP PROCESS THE PAPERWORK FOR THE CASH FOR CLUNKERS PROGRAM AT VANGENT.I HAVE TO SAY THAT WHAT MS.WILLEY CLAIMED WAS GOING ON IN THE PROGRAM,IS TRUE,BECAUSE MY EXPERIENCE WAS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS HERS! IT WAS VERY UNORGANIZED,AND NOT ALOT OF WORK WAS ACTUALLY BEING COMPLETED IN A TIMELY FASHION. BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE SYSTEM WAS SET UP,WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR WORK TO BE DELEGATED TO US,AND SOME DAYS WE WOULDN’T HAVE ANYTHING SENT TO US FOR THE WHOLE 8 HOUR SHIFT. IT WAS BASICALLY ALOT OF PEOPLE SITTING AROUND SOCIALIZING WITH NOTHING ELSE TO DO…..AND GETTING PAID TO DO NOTHING! I THOUGHT TO MYSELF THAT THE TRUE LOSERS OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WERE THE DEALERSHIPS THAT WERE WAITING TO GET REIMBURSED….IN MY MIND,THEY WERE THE ONES WHO WERE SUFFERING THE MOST, BECAUSE I ALSO READ SOME OF THE EMAILS THAT WERE BEING SENT FROM DEALERHIPS THAT WERE SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THEIR PAPERWORK KEPT BEING REJECTED TIME AFTER TIME,FOR NO APPARENT REASON! FOR SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE HIRED,IT SEEMED IT WAS MUCH EASIER TO REJECT THE DOCUMENTS THAN TO ACTUALLY LOOK THROUGH THEM ALL TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK WAS IN ORDER. IT WAS VERY SAD TO WATCH!

  2. I work for Vangent. Everything Ms Willey says is true and more. Chesterfield Police were called numerous times because of physical violence on supervisors and employees, tires were slashed, and numerous thefts of property occurred.

Hours were spent with no work being allocated from some central point, I assume to be in Northern Virginia. Countless vouchers that should have been approved in the initial stage came across my screen as I was a Level II approver whose authorization would trigger the check being issued. The main reason for denial the first time around could only be characterized as either incomparable stupidity or an intentional delaying of the process to insure more hours at $14 for nothing.

The physical conditions of the grounds is correct as she stated. I was taken back by the vomit. I have worked for several large facilities in my life (mostly hospitals,) and I NEVER saw vomit everywhere like I have seen at Vangent in the last 3 weeks. Having been in the clinical side….. here’s what I know: people using Cocaine and/or Heroin often times vomit prior to getting their rush. This maybe be circumstantial conjecture on my part, but I’ve never been in an environment like I was for the last 3 weeks, and I never saw so much emesis EVER in 30 plus years of hospital work. I only bring this up because someone rebutted Ms Willey’s account-stating that the place is clean and orderly. It was prior to CARS.

OK, imagine a scenario where you have 3 different identities involved in a transaction. You have the Federal government, auto dealers, and salvage yard managers all in on the same process, and the one’s you can actually trust are the auto dealers and salvage yard people.

  3. Umm Bubba ?,

If Chesterfield county police was called to that site as many times as you claim would not records of the calls exist?.

I think this is a prime example for Channel 12 News On Your Side to Investigate to find out what was /is goin on dont you?.
