Just a Tea Party between Brothers

I love the Tea Party Movement.  The entire principle that it was founded on is based on the original Boston Tea Party protesting a government that doesn’t represent us and oppressive in taxation and regulation.  It is this history and ideal that I support this 21st century tea party.

I spoke in front of 5000 of them in Richmond for the first Tea Party event, and at the Cigar Fundraiser, and even helped them pick the biggest turkey in Congress.  I find thee people ablaze with passion for freedom, free markets, and limited constitutional government. Let’s call them the conscience of our founding principles.

Of course, I support the Tea Party!  This is a group that has brought Americans together and gave them a voice against the Republicans and Democrats.  It is a real force for good and is a powerful voice for freedom!  The Tea Party groups are effective and powerful as a grassroots movement.

A grassroots movement!  Once it becomes a political party it, by definition, loses the very thing it despises – part of the political system.  It should remain a voice of freedom-loving, non-partisan Americans!  Yet, the threat of a third party is powerful in keeping the parties in line-but this should not be the role of the Tea Parties.  The TP should expose liberals and support real constitutional candidates.  It is here their impact is huge (as recent elections prove.)  The Richmond Tea Party is doing a great job in this regard.

I, Scott Lee, am a pround member of the Tea Party movement!  Call me a supporter!

(And I think Richard is too, but don’t tell him I said that!)

My letter to Chesterfield

I sent this to my Supervisor, whom I voted for, today:

Dear _________,

This kind of pressure comes with the job!  I remember pulling for you in your race for the position you hold, and, now, the test is on……

You probably already know where I stand on this tax hike idea, but I will express my opinion so there is no question.  It is time that government does exactly what families in Chesterfield are doing, cutting!  Let me make this short and give you some things to consider:
  1. Which is easier: raising taxes or making cuts?  I would ask that you take leadership and show real courage and make the tougher decision.  (I think you know which one is the easiest for any government official)
  2. Do any employees in the private sector have the ability to demand more income from their employer when things are tough?  How would an employer react to an employee that says, “I just can’t cut anymore, we have done all we can, I need a raise.  It can be small and you may not even notice it much, but no matter, I must have a bit more. I expect it in my next check!”
  3. Didn’t Chesterfield enjoy major growth in the good years and miss opportunities to prepare for these moments?  Now, instead of making those cuts, the taxpayers are on the hook again?  Isn’t this the same as blaming the tax payer for not paying enough?

You didn’t win your seat to deal with “fluff” issues.  You ran to handle the tough ones…this is one of those and it is why you are there!

Do not vote to raise my taxes, doing so will result in losing my vote and my support.

Regards,
Scott Lee – Chesterfield resident

There are some Patrick Henry’s in the GA..

Delegate Kirk Cox!  He gave a rip-roaring speech on the floor of the House last Friday, Feb 19th that would have made Patrick Henry proud!

Essentially, he focus was to defend the tax payer!  In the tradition of the Lee Brother household, he described the people in VA who don’t have lobbyists, who work hard, and are cutting all they can, and fighting to take care of their families!  Meanwhile, government grows, government jobs are protected, and lobbyists…lobby!  He went on to described the bloated and massive growth of education spending!  In short, Delegate Cox defended you on floor of the house: TAX PAYERS, who don’t have the ability to run to their employer and demand more money like the government can do!

Enjoy….

Take that! You whiners!

The scare tactics start

I mentioned this before (Can we survive?),  but it is getting loud!

Chanting and waving handmade signs, Richmond-area parents, teachers and children greeted state lawmakers walking into the General Assembly Building yesterday, just before the money committees unveiled their proposed changes to the state’s budget.

Erin Warby turned out yesterday with her two children and a lesson plan.

“I work very hard and stress education to them,” said the single mother from Richmond who worked full time while putting herself through college. “I think it’s extremely important to teach them that when you don’t agree with your elected leaders, it’s important to let them know.”

Richmond kindergarten teacher Ollie Hill fears that cuts will hit the parts of the school experience that can keep kids engaged — programs like foreign language and pre-K.

I am still waiting for a solution from these people….holding my breath…..oh…other then raising taxes!

Just a reminder, the education of our children is the responsibility of the parents, not the state!

We talked about it here.

Green Police

Did you see the Audi green police ad?  Holy Crap, was that too realistic or what?  If you missed it….

I thought it was mocking the entire stupidity of the green movement, yet at the same time it was trying to convince me to by a “green” car?  Or what?  Obama’s and Al Gore’s “green police” will get us?

Actually, it might just be a view into what the radical Left has in store for us!  Banning plastic bags, forced recycling, and legislation to demand certain light bulbs is just the beginning!

Not a good commercial, it made me mad!

The Founding Era is not important..

what IS  important is what is relevant to our lives or,in this case, our children’s lives!  Yep, this is the reason that they are removing the study of our Declaration of Independence, Founding Fathers, and anything before 1877 in NC public schools!

“We are certainly not trying to go away from American history,” Rebecca Garland, the chief academic officer for North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, told Fox News. “What we are trying to do is figure out a way to teach it where students are connected to it, where they see the big idea, where they are able to make connections and draw relationships between parts of our history and the present day.”

Yep, there is nothing wrong with our public education system, not a thing!  What the heck is going on!  And we question why we have the government we do?  Because we don’t have any idea what are our founding principles!  The Declaration of Independence doesn’t connect with our kids? Abraham Lincoln doesn’t connect with our kids?  George Washington?

Since when do we base what we teach our kids on whether they are connecting?  I didn’t connect with math, yet they still taught it to me because it was necessary!

We talked about it here.

The philosophy in the classroom in one generation will become the politics in the next!  God help us!

How can you liberals sleep at night?

Puke!

Bush tax cuts cause deficit

Liberals never learn.  Just when you think that most people get it, someone writes a letter to the TD blaming Bush’s tax cuts for the deficit!

Here are a few amazing statements:

Do you see the common theme?  The reason we have a deficit is not from over spending, but because you haven’t paid enough in taxes.  (Once again, try that one with your employer at work. Demand a raise because your in debt!)

One more thing…lowering  taxes raises revenues!  Liberals should cheer this…it provides more money to their precious government programs!  But more importantly, tax cuts are a moral issue!  It not your money!  If government can’t do with what they have…then too bad…my heart breaks!

The same thought process that is expressed by this scary Richmonder (Robert A. Sullivan) is also running Congress and the White House!

Puke!

We talked about it here.

Las Vegas trip

Yes, I was in Las Vegas against the President’s wishes this week.  What concerns me is this guy found out:

Dear Gibbering, Drooling Patriot Dudes;

It is my understanding that one if not both of you went to Nevada over the express directive of our president to NOT blow a bunch of cash in Los Vegas!

Whose money do you think that is, anyway?  Huh? Just because it hasn’t been taxed away from you doesn’t mean it isn’t going to and President Obama has given you fair warning.

Are you not aware that the IRS is buying tactical shotguns?

There is nothing more dangerous than a government tax accountant carrying a Remington 870!

Talking about blowing holes in your tax cheat lies!!  That is going to be one serious audit.  Jeesh! I can’t believe how stupid you two are!

But then again, you are conservatives who think that the Constitution’s negative rights are going to protect you from shotgun toting bureaucrats.

They don’t care about your stinking “rights.” They want the money.

Thankfully, President Obama is going to help you avoid all that drama by relieving you of Pernicious Prosperity. By selfishly accumulating so much excess money, you, in your myopic wrong-wing view, think that you can simply avoid your social responsibilities by enjoying yourself.

Well, this is no time to be enjoying anything. People are suffering now and there is going to be plenty more of it before it is all over.

By unburdening you of all that unnecessary “discretionary” spending, President Obama is insuring that your IRS audit will be a smooth and pleasant process.

And you mock and criticize the president at every opportunity…

… You two should be ashamed!  Perry

Should I be concerned that Perry is keeping to close of eye on The Lee Brothers?

Yikes!

Miracle

Sorry for another video, but I love this kind of patriotic stuff!  This is a very cool video just over a minute long of the Scott Brown miracle!

I have always treasured the Founding Father’s grit, passion, and sacrifice! Their amazing faith in Divine Providence and how it resulted in the miracle that is this country!

Doesn’t make you want to fight more?  Put up with less? Demand a return to those founding principles?

Let’s keep the miracle alive!

Pro-Aborts respond to life

I have been amazed at the response to Tim Tebow’s Super Bowl ad.  Especially the pro-aborts!  What is so frightening about Tebow’s message?  Would it be a threat to Planned Parenthood  if a pregnancy that “could” be a threat could actually turn out to be very positive?   Well..I guess it would be…and that is why they aren’t happy (and how could they be happy when babies are born!)

Really?  Respect her choices???  Any choices?  Should we respect her choice to drink and drive, rob a bank, kill someone?

I have little respect for bad choices!

Obama tax hikes

Here is a list of some of the coming tax increases (disguised as “hope and change”):

–Raise the top two income tax rates for individuals, from 33 percent and 35 percent, to 36 percent and 39.6 percent, respectively. Unless Congress intervenes, those rates will rise next Jan. 1 when Bush’s tax cuts expire. That government would reap $365 billion over the next decade.

–Limit the itemized tax deductions high earners can claim for charitable donations, mortgage interest and state and local taxes, raising about $210 billion for the next decade.

–Increase the top capital gains tax rate from 15 percent to 20 percent for families making more than $250,000 a year and individuals making more than $200,000. The proposal would raise about $105 billion.

–Impose a “financial crisis responsibility fee” on large financial institutions, raising $90 billion over the next decade.

–Restrict the ability of international companies to defer taxes on profits made overseas, raising about $26 billion over the next decade.

–Impose a total of about $39 billion in tax increases on oil, gas and coal companies over the next decade.

–Change the way profits made by investment fund managers are taxed, raising an additional $24 billion over the next decade.

Whole new view of “tax and spend” democrat!

Spending

in full, federal borrowing will top $18 trillion by 2020. Over the period 2011 to 2020, the president’s plan is to run deficits totaling an astounding $8.5 trillion.is adoptedAnd even that wouldn’t be the end of it. If the Obama budget

borrow $4.4 trillion more.is set to reach nearly $1.6 trillion, a record. And that would come on top of a $1.4-trillion deficit in 2009 and before another $1.3-trillion deficit in 2011. Between 1789 and 2008, the U.S. government borrowed a total of $5.8 trillion. But in just the first three years of the Obama administration, the government is expectedAccording to the president’s budget, released yesterday, the federal deficit for 2010

Obviously, we aren’t paying enough in taxes.  I call for an immediate tax increase on those making 100,000 or more!  Secondly, I would recommend that we have 100% tax of all income over $250,000.   Let’s be honest, no one needs more than $250,000 a year.

This is the only fiscally responsibility thing to do-we must get control of this budget and the government has to have the money.  Let’s call it “shared sacrifice” or “it takes a village”, but we must come together and make sure we don’t have to suffer through draconian cuts!  I know it will be tough, but just think of all those benefits that we get from federal government and those “created” jobs!

Is so easy and gutless being a liberal…..but it kind of felt good!

PUKE!!!!!
