Newly-withdrawn Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava

GOOD!  Big news and good for the cause of liberty and freedom!  Dede has withdrawn from the race in NY.  The liberal Republican decided she couldn’t handle it!  So, lets see…… she was endorsed by the Republican machine, Newt, and others..so..follow me.. she had to be a good “moderate” republican that would vote for conservative principles like Newt said, right?  BUT..she endorsed the DEMOCRAT Owens!!!!!

It is in this spirit that I am writing to let you know I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same.

In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first.

Please join me in voting for Bill Owens on Tuesday. To address the tough challenges ahead, we must rise above partisanship and politics and work together. There’s too much at stake in this election to do otherwise.”

Holy Crap!  Newt has egg on his face and the Republican party ought to be embarrassed!  Republicans will never learn!

Better news…Hoffman is ahead in polling in a big way!

Love it!

Great Endorsement

This is an excellent commentary of McDonnell and the reason to vote for him!  Here is just a snippet:

The troubles facing our next governor are almost enough to make one question why anybody would want the job. The answer is, of course, simple: Difficult times require superb leaders. We believe Bob McDonnell has demonstrated the temperament, talent, and solid philosophy needed to guide the Old Dominion to a more prosperous future and to ensure that even the most vulnerable citizens benefit from the revival. He has earned our endorsement, through his deeds and his platform.

McDonnell’s insistence that taxes not be raised on Virginia’s citizens and businesses represents not only a sound and pragmatic policy decision — it also demonstrates one of his fundamental beliefs about the relationship between the government and the governed. In an era when government at many levels seems out of control — prone to bouts of fiscal immaturity — McDonnell understands that an effective, compassionate public sector is always defined by limited government. And he knows that those who earn paychecks and profits have first claim on those earnings. The tax collector must play a secondary role.

This fundamental difference between McDonnell and Deeds is reason enough to support the former attorney general. Virginia needs a strong voice defending free enterprise and personal liberty, a strong hand protecting the sanctity of the family budget, and a strong governor willing to reverse the national trend toward handouts, bailouts, high taxes, more regulation, and stronger unions. Bob McDonnell’s voice has been clear throughout this campaign, his hand has been steady as attorney general and state legislator, and as governor he will be a principled and pragmatic problem-solver……

We are impressed by McDonnell’s fundamental belief in the primacy of the private sector in restoring economic prosperity. He understands that growth and job creation are always products of entrepreneurs, risk-takers, investment, and hard work — not expanded regulation and increased government spending. And he recognizes the importance of not only encouraging alternative energy development, but also investing responsibly in plentiful and affordable energy sources, such as oil, coal, and natural gas.

Virginia needs strong leadership in a time of especially complex challenges. Bob McDonnell has proved himself — through his life and his career — to be a strong and principled leader, a man of moderate temperament and exceptional accomplishment. He is the right man to become the next governor of Virginia.

Be honest with yourself…what are are your priorities:

  1. More government or less
  2. A more free, less regulated market or more mandates and regulation
  3. Union or non-union
  4. Leadership or committees

This is an easy choice!  There is no other cause then Freedom and Liberty!

Steve Shannon calls “states rights” racist

This is the normal move for most Democrats…the race card…label your opponent as a hidden racists!  This is pure insanity or an incredible act of desparation…probably both!

But to infer that those who support State Sovereignty (10th Amendment) or states rights is a step backward to racism or “not for today” is evidence of a guy who is out of touch with Washington!  Is he blind?  Federalism is dying, if not dead, and Shannon thinks it’s not for today??

Well, I guess if your buddies are in DC and you like Obama’s policies, you can’t count on him to defend the state against an over-reaching Federal government!  Shannon even trashed the Gadsden “Don’t Tread On Me” Flag!

So, what am I talking about?  This all went down during the last AG debate and we covered it here!  Take just 4 minutes and listen to this segment of our show, it is amazing!

Ken Cuccinelli  is a defender of State Sovereignty and will defend the Commonwealth from the massive federal mandates that are coming!  Vote Cuccinelli!

The Cause is Liberty!

I am starting to feel bad for Deeds

UPDATE:  We talked about it here!

This is becoming a joke…..does Deeds know where he stands on any issue?

First, the tax question that he butchered!  Now, the public option question:

Question: “Mr. Deeds, and would you go against some of your fellow Democrats and against the public plan?”

Creigh Deeds: “I’m not afraid of going against my fellow Democrats when I think they’re wrong…Public option isn’t required in my view, I think we have to do two things with health care, we have to reduce costs so more people can afford insurance and we have to increase coverage. I share those broad goals. I don’t think the public option is necessary in any plan and I think Virginia…I would certainly consider opting out if that were available to Virginia. We have to find ways to increase competition in order to reduce costs…”

Then the fun started when reporters wanted clarification:

Poor guy!  This is what people are looking for in a politician: “I will leave all options on the table”, “I will form a committee to make all the tough decisions and they will come up with my plan!” Laughable!

Deeds is going to get crushed on election day!

Powhatan is NOT Chicago

There is something happening in Powhatan County.  I got this email from a faithful listener!

As many of you are aware, Charlie Green, District 2 Supervisor , passed away last week. While we mourn the loss of Charlie, we must move on with his replacement so that all citizens of Powhatan are represented and the important work of the Board can continue.

It has come to my attention that there are some back room dealings underway by the County Administrator and the Board members to hand pick a replacement without a transparent, ethical process. The law reads that an appointment can be made until the next general election, when a special election can be held, unless the next general election is within 120 day. This means the appointed person will hold this seat until November 2010.Tradition and precedent is that the appointed person will agree NOT to run in the special election as this would create an unfair advantage for the other candidates who may run for this seat.

It was the understanding of many of the citizens that attended last weeks special meeting that the Board would announce the process to appoint the vacant seat with the expectation that the process would be out in the open .Our County leadership apparently has approached Marsell Bustos to fill this seat. Mr Bustos is the current Chairman of the Powhatan Democrat Party. He ran for the seat in 2007 and came in second in a three way race. Its vital that that this Board chooses the best candidate to fill this seat.  We must not allow the Board to appoint the person of their choosing without a robust debate and multiple candidates to choose from.  We must not be subjected to backroom deals. All we ask for is a fair, transparent process with an agreement that the appointed member not run for re- election in the special election.

Please attend the meeting October 14th and demand that an ethical appointment is made. Write a letter to the editor and call and email each member of the BOS. This is NOT Chicago, this is Powhatan.

Voter Fraud…

…NO!  Surely, this can’t be accurate!  I bet your shocked, also.

2nd Person Arrested on Voter Fraud Charges From 2008 Election
– Man turned himself in on October 7, 2009 –

Louisa – Today, Louisa County Commonwealth’s Attorney Tom Garrett announced that the grand jury returned a three count felony and one count misdemeanor indictment for Bernard Lewis Pace, 63, of Louisa charging him with voter fraud in connection with the 2008 presidential election.  The investigation continues and more indictments against others are expected.

Garrett said “we take any allegations very seriously. We are reviewing the evidence further to determine whether other charges against organizations who solicited the registration of the banned voters are appropriate.”

This is the second in two weeks!  We talked about the first one here!  I am going to go out on a limb here…way out….and guess that more are coming!

I wonder who these “lying voters” punched the card for?

Puke!

Deeds Dribble

I watched this ten times and I still don’t think I understand! This is just embarrassing!  I think the reporters even get frustrated!  Liberals are funny…they know that raising taxes is not good, yet they know they want to do it, yet they know that they have to call it something else……so….Deeds says “raise revenue” instead!  At least I think he was saying that….you decide!

Just be honest and quit trying to hide your true plans!

I

Only Obama…

“Only Government must….”, “Only Government can….” “Only Government can fix…”    The truth is “Only Obama” can fix us!  You wanted change and hope!

Just take a few minutes and compare Obama’s big government solution in our time of crisis with another time of crisis in our history:

January 20, 1981

Now you know why we always end our show with his Farewell address!

A Great President!

Times Dispatch Creed

I must say I was impressed with the Creed the TD printed in the paper today.  I couldn’t help but think what the creed would be for..say..the NYTimes!

We believe in…

  1. Moral absolutes
  2. Freedom
  3. Right to Property
  4. Free Enterprise
  5. Man’s Fallen Nature
  6. Limited Government
  7. Strong National Defense
  8. Fiscal Conservatism

No wonder the paper refused to endorse Obama…they stand for everything he isn’t!

If I could make the T-D paper a Honorary Lee Brother, I would!  I think we agree on much!

Well Done!

No women representation in VA

When the new Congress convenes early next month, Virginia’s 11-member House delegation will be without a woman for the first time since 2000.

And why should I care?  No,  really, what is the big deal?  Are you saying men can’t represent all people?

Leslie Byrne, a Democrat, says “This is a step backwards for Virignia!”   Step backwards?  How?  The people voted and they voted for the huge liberal, Glenn Nye, over the Republican Thelma Drake! Ask them if they feel it is a step back!  Of course, it is a step back from our Founding Father Principles because Nye is a socialists, not because he happens to be a man!!!

“Regardless of the party, women ought to have more representation.” Leslie Bryne

Apparently, according to Byrne, we should vote for women no matter what their position.  They could be….say…ugly, fat, and a liberal..and no one should care?  I CARE!

“It’s time for the men to come forward and take an interest in identifying women candidates,” she said  Hey, if women want to run, they don’t need my help!  It could be…just maybe…that women don’t like politics!  is that okay?

Typical liberalism, style and fashion over substance!

Reminds me of the show we did on “gentlewomen”: click here!

President Obama….

Okay, fine!  Apparently, my ideas are not acceptable.  Maybe I am wrong.

If you voted for Obama, here is what you voted for:

  1. Health Care mandates on employers and fines for those who don’t comply. Move towards government run.
  2. Higher taxes.  For everyone!  Mark my words..Bush’s taxes will be repealed and that is $3000 per family in VA!
  3. Job loses due to regulation and taxation.
  4. Fairness Doctrine. Talk radio only (really fair)!
  5. Free college.
  6. Retire with dignity.
  7. Cuts in Military.
  8. Supreme Court that sees a living Constitution. Judges making law!
  9. Expensive energy. No drilling. Mandated government cap and trade. Mandated CAFE standards for cars. More expensive cars and driving.
  10. Education.Same old government indoctrination centers! No choice, just more money.
  11. Spending.  HUGE!  Remember, this means less freedom!

So, to all Obama supporters…thanks!

PUKE!

Al Jazeera TV Interview posted

Here is the interview that Al Jazeera did with us in studio on October 24th, 2008.  We are about 4 minutes into the segment.

“Republican shock jocks”…what?  If anyone listens to us, we are more conservative (at least me) than Republican…..but I guess the “shock” part is true!  In America, it is shocking to hold to Constituional government and Founding Father principles!

Guilty!

What do you want from your President?

How you answer this question says a lot about how you will cast your vote!

Richmond, VA, in the 1992 debate between Clinton and Bush, a guy with a ponytail stood up and ask the candidates “to meet our needs, the needs in housing and in crime and you name it, as opposed to the wants of your political spin doctors and your political parties. … Could we cross our hearts? It sounds silly here but could we make a commitment? You know, we’re not under oath at this point, but could you make a commitment to the citizens of the U.S. to meet our needs—and we have many—and not yours again?”

Do you want your President to treat us like his children and take care of all our needs?  How do you look at a President?  Is he the “money daddy”?  Is he the great protector? Is he the answer to your problems? Do you just want the President to be a caring guy who will think of you every single day in the White House?

Or…

Do you want a President to defend our country from enemies: foreign and domestic?  Do you want him to get government out of your way?  Let you keep more of your money to give as you see fit?  A President that wants you to become as wealthy as you can and hire as many people as you can?  A President that is honest enough to say, “I can’t create a single job, only you can”?  A President that encourages you to give to others and helps others because I can’t do it from Washington?  A President that recognizes that most problems are solved in your communities not from a federal law?

A President is an elected politician.  He can not create jobs, help you with your mother’s perscription drugs, pay for college, or solve the energy crisis by regulation and government demands!  Actually, he can do those things, but it would mean less freedom for you!

However, he can remove the obstacles to those things.  He can make energy more affordable by not restricting or taxing the production of it.  He can make drugs more affordable by removing the government red tape involved in research and development, he allow businesses to flourish without fear of “excess profit tax” or witch hunt by some pandering politician looking for votes.  The President should be thinking of how to make us more free “every single day in the White House”, instead of how he can buy votes.

What do you want from a President?

The President that can give you everything has the power to take it all away!
