Your Government car?

Obama ordered the Transportation Department to begin drawing up rules imposing higher fuel-economy standards on cars and light trucks.

The president also directed the Transportation Department to draw up rules to implement a 2007 law requiring a 40 percent improvement in gas mileage for autos and light trucks by 2020.

Is there anything that Obama will let run in the private sector on their own?So..lets walk through this….if I want to drive my SUV that gets 12 miles to the gallon…Obama won’t let me?  He now has to make sure cars are made according to his own little screwed up worldview?  Who made him King?

I must have been mistaken when I thought we had freedom in this country.  I thought if I paid the bill (gas bill, electric bill) that no one else would care because I am paying for it!  And Liberals think Conservatives want to run peoples lives?  The radical left will not rest until they control everything in your life: thermostat in your home, the car you drive, the light bulbs you use, how much you can make, how much private companies can make, the doctor you can visit, the prayer that you can say, and the school you can attend!

Now, the biggest threat to Obama’s little world is the car…or…better..the freedom we have to choose the car we drive!!  What a threat!

Once again, Freedom Expanded!  Politicians job is to make laws, not repeal them!  Feeling better!  Enjoy your new America!

I guess I should be happy the government lets me have a car (for now), even if it is a “Government Car!”

Next thing you know we will be buying carbon-offsets at airport kiosks!

Carbon Tax

SAN FRANCISCO — Air pollution regulators in the San Francisco Bay area voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to approve new rules that impose fees on businesses for emitting greenhouse gasses.

Do you remember Catholic church selling indulgences?  Just saying!

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s board of directors voted 15-1 to charge companies 4.4 cents per ton of carbon dioxide they emit, an agency spokeswoman said.

15-1?  Wow, there is no more hope for the left coast.  Get out while you can!

Experts say the fees, which cover nine counties in the Bay Area, are the first of their kind in the country.

Goody!  First of their kind…does this mean we can expect more of this?

“It doesn’t solve global warming, but it gets us thinking in the right terms,” said Daniel Kammen, a renewable energy expert at the University of California, Berkeley. “It’s not enough of a cost to change behavior, but it tells us where things are headed. You have to think not just in financial terms, but in carbon terms.”

Berkeley..that says it all, doesn’t it!  You can’t solve a problem that doesn’t exist but you can implement communism/socialism with this scam.  He is right about one thing… tells us where we are headed!  Scared? You should be!

More than 2,500 businesses will be required to pay the proposed fees. About seven power plants and oil refineries would have to pay more than $50,000 a year, but the majority of businesses would pay less than $1, according to district estimates.

No!  Who cares about that! It is just a $1!  These evil companies should pay more taxes anyway and it won’t have any effect on me or the people buying their products (I just threw up in my mouth a little, that was hard to say!)

Government owned oil companies

Congressman Maxine Waters (yes, Congressman! I know she is a women! Congressman is a generic term, not gender specific. Congresswomen sounds stupid, just like gentlewoman (which isn’t a word)) is proud to be a liberal and a socialist

Guess what this liberal will be all about……socialism….basically…taken over…all your companies!”

Does this scare anyone else?  Who do these people think they are?  How is it that this insane women is in Congress?  What morons would elect her?  Is this the Democrat party today?  Is this the energy policy that will lower gas prices?  Where is my barf bucket?

Too many questions….my head hurts!

But really, it doesn’t have any impact on me.  I hope that they take over those evil oil companies.  It won’t bother me.  (Do you think Congress will ever come after me or my company for making too much money (other than the tax code)…….no, they just don’t like high gas prices! No worries!)
